Red Spot Removal
Performed at our Duluth, GA medical office, north of Atlanta.

Red spots (also known as vascular lesions) are generally harmless. There is a wide variety of types of red spots, from patches of pink skin to bright red, raised dots called cherry angiomas. Cherry angiomas are typically genetic and can appear at any age, but they tend to show up more often as patients get older. There is also a type of red spot called a hemangioma, which is a birthmark that appears in infants and young children, but we do not perform these treatments for young kids or babies at Laser Lights – only adults.
Red spots are the result of abnormal blood vessels, and Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center in Atlanta, Georgia offers red spot removal for adults on the face and body. The laser targets the redness within the blood vessels, closing them off and allowing your body to absorb and expel them naturally. Red spots can often be removed in one treatment with no downtime, but every patient is unique and more sessions may be needed for thorough results.
Frequently Asked Questions about Laser Red Spot Treatment

Generally, no, angiomas are not preventable—they’re typically a genetic trait, and they often increase in size and/or number as you get older. However, the laser treatments to remove them are rather quick and easy, so they aren’t a problem you’ll need to deal with for very long.
