All About Our New Skin Tightening and Cellulite Reduction Treatment, Venus Legacy™
Most of us have certain aspects of our appearance we would like to change. These will be different from one person to the next, but cellulite, sagging skin, and wrinkles are particularly common sources of self-consciousness. Fortunately, there are solutions. At Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center, we’re thrilled to announce the latest addition to our menu of services: body contouring treatments with Venus Legacy™.
What Is Skin Tightening with Venus Legacy™?
Skin tightening with Venus Legacy™ is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment that is FDA-approved for temporarily reducing the appearance of cellulite. It effectively firms the skin and reduces wrinkles as well, making it an exceptional procedure for both the face and body.
Venus Legacy™ uses a combination of multiple technologies including multi-polar radio frequency warmth and pulsed electromagnetic fields. The procedure helps your body produce more skin-firming collagen while also breaking down the fat that contributes to cellulite as well as improving blood circulation and lymphatic drainage. All of this combines to give you smoother, firmer, more youthful skin.
Benefits of Skin Tightening with Venus Legacy™
Our new treatments with Venus Legacy™ use advanced technology to produce exceptional results for body contouring and cellulite reduction as well as facial rejuvenation. It offers a variety of benefits, including:
- Firmer, more youthful skin throughout the treatment area
- Treatment options for your face or body
- Reduced cellulite dimpling for a slimmer, more toned look
- Customizable treatment settings so our experienced, skilled body contouring specialist can optimize your treatment for you
- Noticeable results with no incisions, injections, or recovery time
- Comfortable, simple treatments that typically take less than 30 minutes
- Safe use for all skin tones
What Can I Expect from My Body Contouring Treatments with Venus Legacy™?
Skin tightening treatments with Venus Legacy™ are known for being simple, quick, and easy. You’ll begin by consulting with our experienced body contouring specialist about your treatment area and desired results. Through this consultation, we’ll be able to select the ideal applicator and settings for your treatments.
During the procedure, you’ll simply rest comfortably while our specialized technician glides the applicator throughout your treatment area. You’ll feel a warming sensation and potentially light suction, but the treatments are usually comfortable and well-tolerated. A typical session only takes 15-30 minutes, though this will vary based on the areas you want to treat and the results you desire. The number of treatments will vary as well, but most patients will need 6-8 treatments spaced out one week apart.
After your procedure, you’ll have no downtime – you can go directly back to your daily schedule. Your results will gradually develop, even improving for up to 3-4 months after your treatment series. We recommend maintenance treatments as well, though the recommendations will depend on your specific needs.

Tips for More Effective Non-Surgical Fat Reduction
It’s officially swimsuit season, and occasionally this season can make some people feel self-conscious about their physique. If you find yourself thinking more seriously about non-surgical fat reduction with SculpSure®, you’re not alone.
This treatment can be an outstanding way to have more control over your figure and get rid of stubborn pockets of unwanted fat. How can you make sure you get the best possible results from your procedure? It starts with choosing an experienced treatment provider like our team at Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center, who have been performing this procedure for years for a wide range of patients. On top of this, follow these top tips below for better results.
Stabilize Your Health and Your Routine First
Non-surgical fat reduction isn’t meant to be part of a weight loss project. It’s designed more for adjusting the contours of your body, not reducing your size altogether. Because of this, you should be at or very near your intended weight before the procedure.
Keep in mind that future weight fluctuations will affect your results and that you’ll still be able to gain weight in the treated area because not all the fat cells will be destroyed. For that reason, make sure your weight is stable before your treatment and that you have a solid routine for maintaining your weight after the treatment.
Follow All Pre-Treatment and Post-Treatment Care Instructions
Your treatment provider may give you specific instructions to follow before or after your non-surgical fat reduction treatment with SculpSure®. These instructions are tailored to you and your procedure, and they’re designed to help you get optimal results with minimal side effects. Follow these instructions closely and feel free to call your provider with any questions.
Make Time for a Workout
Non-surgical fat reduction with SculpSure® has the benefit of no necessary downtime after your treatment. In fact, it’s best if you work out on the day of your procedure, after the treatment. This helps your body to break down the fat cells that SculpSure® damaged, facilitating your results.
Consider Adding a Skin Tightening Treatment
Many people find that if there’s an area of their body that isn’t as firm and taut as they would like it to be, the problem is a combination of excess fat and aging skin. As your skin ages, or if it has seen weight fluctuations or pregnancies, your skin can become looser and thinner. For this reason, combining non-surgical fat reduction and non-surgical skin tightening can be the answer to creating a slimmer, more youthful contour.
Massage the Treatment Area
It takes time for you to start seeing results from your non-surgical fat reduction with SculpSure® because your body slowly removes the damaged fat cells. You can speed up your results by massaging your treatment area. Rub the area gently for 5-10 minutes and aim to do this twice per day for a few weeks after your procedure. This increases the blood flow in the area, reduces swelling, and helps to break up the fatty tissue.
Keep Your Body Hydrated
Hydration is essential for everyday health but it’s especially vital after non-surgical fat reduction with SculpSure® because it helps your body flush out the fat cells. Drink plenty of water on the day of your treatment and for the days and weeks following.

Stretch Marks: Top Facts You Need to Know
Stretch marks are an incredibly popular topic on mommy blogs and online parenting chat groups, but they’re far from a moms-only issue. Stretch marks can affect people of all ages and genders, and understandably, most people want a way to get rid of them. To help you better understand your stretch marks, our skin care specialists at Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center are here to fill you in on the essential facts you need to know.
Stretch Marks Are Made of Scar Tissue
Did you know stretch marks are actually scars? They appear when your skin is stretched too quickly for your skin’s natural elasticity to keep up with the stretching. This is especially common during pregnancy, puberty and growth spurts, rapid weight fluctuations, and rapid muscle growth. When this happens, the collagen and elastin fibers in your skin rupture and your body repairs them with scar tissue.
Many Factors Affect Stretch Marks
You’ve probably noticed that some people develop more severe stretch marks than others. It isn’t just a matter of luck. There are several factors that affect stretch marks and the way they look, such as your unique skin, where your stretch marks appear, the severity and timeframe of your skin’s stretching, genetics, and even hormones. Stress hormones, for example, can weaken the fibers of your skin and make them more likely to rupture.
You’ll notice that stretch marks also change with time. They usually start out looking raised and potentially pink or red. Over time, they fade and fall below your skin so they’re depressed instead of raised. While stretch marks generally fade over the course of several years, they don’t go away entirely.
Topical Products Have Minimal Effect on Stretch Marks
There are countless topical products today that claim to reduce stretch marks, but unfortunately, most of them have little if any impact. Most of these products are primarily moisturizers, which may reduce the appearance of your stretch marks for a matter of hours but they won’t make a long-term difference. There is some evidence that hydrating products with hyaluronic acid can improve stretch marks if you use them while your skin is stretching or while the stretch marks are new.
The other types of products that may have some impact on stretch marks are products containing retinol. While the improvement is not extreme, these products may help to reduce the scar tissue and strengthen your skin over time. However, retinol products shouldn’t be used by people who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
There Are (Reliable) Treatments for Stretch Marks
While topical products have minimal effects on stretch marks, there are other reliable ways to reduce stretch marks, including stretch marks you’ve had for years.
The first treatment option is microneedling for stretch marks. During a microneedling procedure, our highly trained and advanced specialists use an applicator with ultrafine needles to trigger your body’s healing process throughout the area. This causes your body to produce more collagen to smooth and reduce the scar tissue of your stretch marks.
Another way we treat stretch marks is with laser scar reduction treatments. Much like microneedling, laser treatments activate your body’s healing process to break down old scar tissue and replace it with smoother collagen that is more consistent with your natural skin.
If you’re looking for a short-term way to camouflage stretch marks, sunless tanner or a spray tan may be able to give your stretch marks a temporary tone that is more similar to your skin tone. Be sure to avoid tanning, though, whether you’re laying out in the sun or in a tanning bed. Not only does sun exposure increase your risk for skin cancer and break down the collagen in your skin, but it can make stretch marks more pronounced because scar tissue doesn’t tan.

Sagging Facial Skin? Ways to Tighten Your Skin
There are many things we can do to delay and slow facial aging as much as possible. Maintaining an overall healthy lifestyle without smoking or excessive drinking, exercising regularly, caring for our skin, and so on can help us keep our skin’s vitality for longer. Eventually, though, age and gravity will take their toll and we’ll start to notice sagging skin, especially along our jawline.
Fortunately, there are steps you can take to reduce sagging skin without having surgery. Our team at Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center specializes in non-surgical cosmetic treatments for the face and body, and we gladly offer several non-invasive or minimally invasive options.
Non-Surgical Skin Tightening
Skin tightening with Viora Reaction™ is a versatile procedure that can be used anywhere on your body, including on your face, to firm and tighten your skin in an entirely non-invasive way. That means no injections or incisions of any kind.
During this treatment, our skilled specialist uses an applicator to send targeted radiofrequency (RF) energy into the areas you want to treat. This RF energy triggers your body’s natural response to create more collagen, the protein that firms, lifts, and tightens your skin. Because this treatment works with your body’s own processes, your results will gradually develop over the course of several sessions.
We are currently adding even more non-surgical skin tightening options using radiofrequency technology, including Venus Legacy™ skin tightening and cellulite reduction as well as radiofrequency-enhanced microneedling coming soon.
Fractionated CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing
Fractionated CO2 laser skin resurfacing is among the most versatile and effective procedures for reducing signs of aging, and that includes restoring firmness to sagging skin. During this treatment, our laser technicians use a specialized laser that creates a series of micro-injuries in your skin. This triggers your body’s healing response. As part of this healing response, your body creates more skin-firming collagen in addition to shedding damaged surface skin and creating an overall smoother, more youthful complexion.
Keep in mind that as effective as this treatment is, it comes with precautions you need to take to minimize potential side effects. This includes protecting your skin from the sun for weeks before and after your session along with caring for your skin in a certain way after your procedure. Because of the need for sun protection, fractionated CO2 laser skin resurfacing is most often performed in the fall or winter for your convenience.
Microneedling with Natural Growth Factors
Did you know your body holds one of the keys to younger, firmer skin – you just need to harness that power in the right way? Within your blood are natural growth factors that can trigger collagen production, and we put them to use as a way to enhance your microneedling treatments.
We begin by taking a small amount of your blood and processing it in a centrifuge to separate out the natural growth factors. We then perform a Réjuvapen® microneedling treatment while applying these natural growth factors, allowing the growth factors to reach the deeper layers of your skin to enhance your collagen production. The combination of the microneedling procedure and your own natural growth factors creates a skin-firming, lifting, rejuvenating effect.
