The Importance of Experience for Cosmetic Injectable Treatments
Cosmetic injectable treatments seem to be everywhere these days. Here at Laser Lights, we can remember when Botox® felt like revolutionary new technology. Now Botox®, Dysport®, and facial fillers are among the most in-demand cosmetic treatments of all. Patients today have an abundance of terrific options when it comes to rejuvenating their face and addressing wrinkles, lines, lost volume, and other common imperfections. However, while these treatments may be FDA-approved and proven, that doesn’t mean that outstanding results are guaranteed. In many cases, who you choose to perform your injectable treatment can mean all the difference between making the most of your experience and feeling dissatisfied down the road.
Like in any other field, experience and expertise are critical with cosmetic injections. Helping patients achieve their desired aesthetic goal takes a great deal more than just being able to administer a shot. An expert cosmetic injector must understand the differences in the facial anatomy in each patient. This understanding is crucial in order to determine which specific injectable treatment might be best suited to address each patient’s specific needs. Additionally, a familiarity with different injectable products and how they can best be applied is also critical. For example, some facial filler injections need to stay at the injection point, while others need to spread in order to work as intended. Having a discerning eye and the ability to match the right injectable treatment to the specific needs of each patient is incredibly important.
We are proud to offer our injectables patients the opportunity to be treated by experienced cosmetic injector, Dawn Surajh, DNP, APRN, NP-C . Before her years of working in cosmetic medicine, Dawn was a nurse for over a decade. This experience allows her the ability to connect and build meaningful bonds with patients, with the ultimate goal of helping them achieve their aesthetic goals.

What To Know Before Considering a Chemical Peel
Facial rejuvenation is always a point of emphasis for our patients, and chemical peels have been an incredibly dependable tool in this area for many years. We have spoken to so many patients over the years who are interested in a chemical peel treatment to rejuvenate their facial complexion, but don’t know exactly how to proceed. The truth is, there can be a lot to know before simply undergoing a chemical peel treatment. Every person and every complexion is different and these are not one-size-fits-all treatments. So with this in mind, our cosmetic experts were happy to lay out a few simple facts to help prospective patients gain a better understanding of chemical peels and what they can offer.
There Are a Wide Variety of Chemical Peels Available
Here at Laser Lights, we offer several outstanding chemical peel options that vary in terms of strength and the aesthetic imperfections that they are able to address. We begin the process with a chemical peel consultation appointment. During this appointment, our licensed and experienced aestheticians will discuss the patient’s specific skin care concerns, evaluate their complexion, and make a determination about the best chemical peel for their specific needs.
“Peeling” Is Just a Form of Exfoliation
While we understand that the idea of skin peeling off can seem strange or even scary to some people, the process is far gentler than the name would suggest. And this peeling process is essential for shedding dead skin cells and revealing the healthier, glowing skin in the layers below.
Chemical Peels Are Not Just For The Face
It’s true that chemical peels are often thought of as a way to improve facial skin, but when applied by an expert provider like the cosmetic professionals at Laser Lights, chemical peels can provide benefits elsewhere. We have considerable experience using chemical peels to rejuvenate the hands, as well as the back, chest, feet, and other areas depending on the patient’s needs.
Some Post-Treatment Redness Is Normal
After undergoing a chemical peel, it’s natural for the skin to be red and irritated. This will increase for people who undergo strong and more penetrative types of peels. However, this is a normal and temporary sensation. We may apply a topical ointment to help soothe the treatment area, but this depends on the type of peel used and the patient’s level of discomfort after treatment. We recommend waiting at least a day after lighter peels before applying makeup, and at least a week for more powerful ones in order to let the skin heal properly. But we will review your aftercare during your consultation.
We understand that no two people are exactly alike, which is why our providers work so hard during consultation appointments to make sure our patients always feel comfortable, informed, and ready before any treatment takes place. Whether you are interested in a chemical peel, non-surgical fat reduction with SculpSure®, microneedling, or any other treatment, our experts do everything they can to make sure each of our patients has the most positive and satisfying experience possible. For more information on chemical peels or to schedule a cosmetic consultation, contact Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center today. 3 Treatments to Help Rejuvenate The Appearance of Your Neck
Anti-aging cosmetic treatments are more in-demand than ever. And while helping our patients look and feel younger with the help of our award-winning cosmetic services is a huge part of what we do here at Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center, aesthetic rejuvenation can take on many forms. Today we thought it would be helpful to drill down on one specific area, the neck, and why this has become such a focal point of so many people trying to refresh their look.
Some areas of the body are simply more vulnerable to signs of premature aging than others and the neck area is certainly one of them for many people. Generally speaking, you don’t want your neck to look considerably older than your face. Over time, sun damage, natural aging, or other environmental factors can cause an old-looking neck contour with wrinkles and loose, sagging skin. We perform the following cosmetic treatments that can help our patients rejuvenate the neck area and improve their overall appearance:
Vivace® RadioFrequency Microneedling
Our newest cosmetic treatment, Vivace® RadioFrequency Microneedling is FDA-cleared and truly outstanding for helping improve the skin around the neck. Using radiofrequency (RF) energy, Vivace® is able to deliver controlled heat within the deeper layers of the skin, helping to trigger natural collagen and elastin production. The result is healthier, younger-looking skin that lasts.
Fractionated CO2 Laser Resurfacing
For people who experience moderate aging in the face and neck areas, our fractionated CO2 laser resurfacing treatments can often be incredibly helpful. These treatments are unique in their ability to target very specific areas with scattered beams of precise laser energy. Once this energy is able to penetrate deeper into the skin and tissue, collagen is produced and tiny bits of damaged skin are naturally shed, prevailing a newly healthy glowing complexion.
Venus Legacy™ Skin Tightening
Venus Legacy™ is a skin tightening treatment for the face and body. FDA-cleared to treat cellulite, we’ve also had remarkable success using Venus Legacy™ Skin Tightening treatments to help rejuvenate the neck area. Using their proprietary (MP)2 technology, Venus Legacy™ utilizes multi-polar radiofrequency (RF) and pulsed magnetic fields to create a heat energy matrix that stimulates the body’s natural healing response by heating the skin from the inside out.
We understand that it can be very difficult to fight off common signs of aging in the neck area without help. This is why we are proud to offer so many safe, dependable, non-surgical treatment options for our patients.
