What Our Clients Are Saying
You have to visit a business a few times, before you can comment on service. I personally love the Viora (skin tightening) treatment. I had a procedure done back in 2008 and failed to keep up with the recommended maintenance suggested by Dr. Whiteman. So, I decided to go back to the venue I was […]
I wanted to drop a note to say how much I enjoy having Emily as my esthetician. I have been seeing Emily for several years and she is my go-to person, she always goes the extra mile to make sure that her clients are taken care of properly, professionally and their expectations are exceeded. When […]
I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Laser Lights with the Croton Oil Peel. The staff is so courteous and Dr. Whiteman was so efficient and caring throughout the whole process. You have heard of patients who suffer from a “love my Doctor” syndrome, yep, I had that! I was amazed with […]
I’ve been taking my son to Laser Lights for several months to have a tattoo removed. Everyone there is always friendly, professional and helpful. The office is always spotless. Emily Hutchinson is our Laser Specialist and I don’t have words to describe how great she has been. If you need any laser work done, I […]

With so many cosmetic practices in the metro Atlanta area these days, we here at Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center know that being “good” is simply not enough. That’s why we pride ourselves on providing the best possible experience for every patient we treat. This includes creating a warm, welcoming, and comfortable environment and offering a wide variety of top-level cosmetic treatments and services. To help patients better understand the quality of care and results that they can expect from our providers, we’ve put together some recent cosmetic treatment testimonials that we have received.
A Total Team Effort
Our standard for patient care extends far beyond just our cosmetic providers. Here at Laser Lights, our entire team does everything we can to ensure that all of our patients feel at home once they enter our office:
“I’ve had nothing but great experiences at Laser Lights. Everyone from the front desk receptionist to the laser estheticians have always been very professional and helpful. They go above and beyond to make sure that I receive the best treatment possible. Vida has been an absolute charm! She explains very thoroughly what treatments I need and exactly what she’s doing step by step to provide me with the results I want. She definitely makes me feel very welcome and the results have been perfect. I highly recommend everyone to try it out themselves. I will definitely be coming back for any other treatments I need in the future. Thank you, Laser Lights!”
A New Leaf
Some of our treatments, including laser tattoo removal, have an amazing power to help patients earn a new lease on life and truly begin again:
“I feel like I need to write a little backstory so my feelings can be justified on how I feel about Laser Lights. I got a chest tattoo when I was 15, got it half removed by a shady practice which left me scarred and every individual letter on the chest tattoo was raised up due to the burning of my skin.
I am now 26 years old and decided to put my trust back into trying to fix my chest situation. I came to Laser Lights back and they ended up successfully removing the remainder of my tattoo. Their after-care was much different than the shady business I went to and they didn’t scar my skin any further! I’m currently now using their C02 cosmetic laser treatment for the removal of the scarring. I’m only one session in and everyone who has seen my chest has told me that there’s a huge difference in my appearance! I also ended up getting C02 Treatment on some scars and pigmented areas (from previous surgeries) and that has also drastically improved as well. I’ve been very insecure about my chest since it was scarred and damaged and I finally gained my confidence back because of Laser Lights!”
No matter the specific treatment or aesthetic concern, our goal at Laser Lights remains the same. We’re so happy to hear that these patients were so satisfied with their time with us and look forward to helping so many more people in the years ahead. Some of the cosmetic treatments that we perform are meant to hone in on one specific aesthetic concern. Other treatments are consistently in demand due to their ability to treat a wider variety of issues for patients. We have had incredible success over the years using Réjuvapen® Microneedling treatments to address several of the most common imperfections that affect the facial skin. To help better get to know this outstanding treatment option and how it can help, here are some of the most notable benefits of Réjuvapen® Microneedling.
As we already mentioned, Réjuvapen® Microneedling treatments can be used to effectively address many of the most familiar facial blemishes that people experience. This includes fine lines and wrinkles, overly large pores, acne scarring, and more. Regardless of why a patient is interested in microneedling, they will almost surely leave the treatment with a more clear and glowing complexion than they came in with.
Near Immediate Results
Unlike some other treatments that require some waiting to see noticeable aesthetic results, the differences from Réjuvapen® Microneedling can often be seen a few days following the treatment. The skin should look plumper and healthier when the treatment session has concluded, and continue to improve in the following weeks as the skin naturally heals itself and produces more collagen.
Very Little Recovery Time
Recovery time is typically minimal following microneedling treatments and very little to no downtime should be required. Some degree of skin irritation and redness is normal during the first few days after treatment. We recommend waiting until these effects have passed before applying makeup in order to let the skin fully heal. The facial skin may also be more sensitive to the sun in the days immediately following treatment, so be sure to apply sunscreen and wear a hat for any long period spent outdoors.
We are proud to offer Réjuvapen® Microneedling as a fantastic way for our patients to rejuvenate their appearance and treat so many of the common signs of facial texture and aging. If you think that you might be a good candidate for microneedling and would like to learn more, please contact Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center at (770) 495-9322 for a complimentary consultation. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for additional practice updates, news, and so much more.
Is laser hair removal permanent? This is one of the most common questions we receive when discussing laser hair removal. If you’ve spent any time researching the procedure, you will most likely have read conflicting information. Many people praise laser hair removal as the permanent solution to hair growth, but this opinion is slightly misleading. So, how permanent is laser hair removal? The short answer is semi-permanent. But to really understand how laser hair removal works, you will need to know the basics of the hair growth stages and how laser light affects the follicle.
The Life Cycle of Hair:
Hair grows in four stages: anagen, catagen, telogen, and exogen. During these phases, your hair is going through a process of growing, transitioning, resting, and shedding. Laser hair removal is primarily effective when hair is in the anagen or the growth phase. During this phase, the light from the laser can target the pigment of these hairs. The light heats the hair, and the hair then transfers the heat to the follicle. When the heat is transferred to the follicle, the follicle is destroyed. This is what prevents hair from regrowing.
Multiple Treatments Achieve Optimal Results:
At this point, you may be thinking that this sounds relatively permanent. And you would be somewhat correct in your conclusion. However, hair grows in stages. That is the reason why laser hair removal requires multiple treatments and future touch-ups to achieve optimal results. The hair on your body isn’t always in the anagen phase, and it takes time for each follicle to reach that phase. This is the primary reason we space out our laser treatments. We want to ensure we can target your hair while it is in the anagen phase. As a rule, body hair tends to be in the anagen or active growth phase for 30 to 45 days. While we can treat most hair in about six sessions, this is not the case for everyone, and you may experience some hair regrowth. Still, the hairs that do regrow are typically finer and lighter. That being said, after your first treatment, you will see between a 10% and 25% decrease in hair growth.
Laser Hair Removal Is Still Your Best Option:
Don’t let the phrase “semi-permanent” deter you from seeking treatment. At Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center, we apply a methodical approach to laser hair removal. During your free consultation, we will assess your skin and hair, discuss skin preparation before treatment, and provide you with an aftercare plan. We are careful to schedule sessions during the hair growth phase to treat as many follicles in the active growth stage as possible. After completing about six sessions, you will see fantastic results with at least an 80% permanent reduction in hair. If any stray hairs reappear, we can easily address them with additional treatments.
We have had great results treating men and women with different skin types and shades. It is important to note that the exception to this is that laser hair removal does not treat blonde, red or gray hair. Our licensed laser technicians are highly skilled, having received in-depth training, and our facility only uses FDA-approved lasers. We even have a laser school (Southern Laser Academy) where we train other laser technicians so we are serious about our safety! We are happy to provide our patients with a procedure that is both safe and effective. With minimal pain and no downtime, you will be well on your way to living hair-free just in time for beach season. If you are considering laser hair removal, schedule your complimentary consultation with Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center. Our laser technicians will be happy to develop a custom hair removal and aftercare plan for you. The art of tattooing is significant in many cultures today. While our reasoning for expressing ourselves through this medium may differ from centuries past, there is still meaning to the art that people tattoo on their bodies. However, there are times when a piece of tattooed art no longer holds the same value or importance. You may wonder, ‘is there a way for me to remove a tattoo that I no longer desire to have?’ Luckily, we live in a time in which that is possible. You may have many questions about tattoo removal, so we have put together some of our most frequently asked questions to help you better understand laser tattoo removal.
Q: Do Lasers Extract Tattoo Ink From Your Skin?
It is a commonly believed that laser tattoo removal extracts the ink from one’s skin to remove the tattoo, but this isn’t true. Tattoos are meant to be permanent, and they are. The ink used for tattooing is insoluble, which means it cannot dissolve or be absorbed by the body. Lasers allow us to break down the ink into small particles. When they are small enough, the body can trigger its natural healing process to absorb and remove the particles.
Q: Can Laser Tattoo Removal Address Different Color Ink?
Yes, color tattoos can be treated with lasers. However, black ink will respond the best to this type of tattoo removal because black ink absorbs the wavelengths from the lasers easier than colors. One of the most complex colors to remove is green. Luckily, at Laser Lights, we have FDA-approved lasers to treat all colors, including green.
Q: Is Laser Tattoo Removal Painful?
Pain or discomfort is relative, and every person will tolerate laser tattoo removal differently. We can use a numbing cream to alleviate discomfort, and certain over-the-counter pain relievers may also help if needed. Typically, when selecting an over-the-counter pain reliever, you will want to use a product containing acetaminophen because it does not thin your blood, which leads to bruising but will discuss with you during your treatment to recommend the best choice for your specific needs.
Since every person is as unique as their body art, we cannot provide a one-size fits all removal plan. The amount of sessions needed to remove your tattoo will depend on several factors that are part of the Kirby-Desai Tattoo Removal Scale. For example, skin type, tattoo size, and tattoo location all contribute to developing a plan that will work for you. During your tattoo removal consultation, we will discuss all the factors that need to be considered so that you can receive the best possible outcome.
If you’ve been considering tattoo removal, the upcoming fall and winter seasons would be the perfect time to begin laser treatments. Schedule your complimentary consultation with Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center, and we will develop a customized tattoo removal treatment plan specifically for you.
