Like facials, chemical peels can be customized for your unique skincare concerns. Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center’s experienced estheticians will use a tailored chemical solution to remove damaged superficial skin to reveal a vibrant, younger-looking complexion.

Our patients enjoy these light chemical peels as they require minimal downtime while minimizing fine lines and wrinkles. It’s important to note that post-treatment care is essential for proper recovery and direct sunlight which should be avoided to protect new and healing skin.

We offer a wide variety of chemical peels to meet each patient’s needs including fruit acid peels, glycolic, Jessner’s, mandelic, salicylic, TCA and Vi peels. The fruit acid peel is one of our lightest peels and can address rough skin, regulate acne and prep skin for a deeper treatment. Many patients enjoy this peel because there is no downtime and they can return to daily activities immediately. Other light peels for sensitive skin include the mandelic peel and salicylic peel.

To reduce the signs of aging such as age spots, hyper-pigmentation, fine lines and help smooth the appearance of acne scarring, a deeper peel such as a Jessner’s peel or TCA peel may be recommended. We also offer the Vi peel which can also be used on the hands and neck in addition to the face.

In general, patients will experience slight redness and sensitivity after treatment which usually subsides within a week. In addition to our chemical peels, we offer micro-laser peels which use a light system to improve skin tone and texture.

Laser skin resurfacing treatments can be used to treat facial wrinkles, dark spots, acne scars and more. At Laser Lights we offer the fractionated (Fraxel) CO2 laser and Erbium laser technologies. Unlike traditional CO2 lasers that could leave a visible line between treated and untreated skin, the Fraxel laser targets very precise areas to allow for a more tailored treatment for a patient’s individual needs. This treatment helps increase collagen and elastin production while generating new skin on the face. The Fraxel laser can also be used to treat the neck, chest and hands of men and women.

For slighter blemishes such as brown spots, mild facial imperfections or wrinkles, the Erbium laser may be recommended. The Erbium laser removes the outermost layer of skin to stimulate collagen production in the deep layers. Since the Erbium layer only penetrates the top layers of skin, the treatment is better suited for more superficial skin conditions like fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes and mouth.

As we begin to spend more time indoors and less time outside, it is an optimal time to consider laser skin resurfacing treatments. Although laser skin resurfacing can be done year round, it’s important to stay out of the sun after treatment to avoid hyperpigmentation.
