Beware of Deal Sites Offering Laser Hair Removal

, , , , , , , , , ,

You probably receive at least one email everyday with special offers and skin care treatment savings in your area.  Although these deals can be enticing, it’s important to know a few key points about cosmetic treatments before buying any deeply discounted treatment.   At Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center, we offer competitive pricing while maintaining the highest level of patient care and safety.  We use tools like our website and blog to keep patients informed of treatment options and to educate them on what to look for when selecting a procedure besides the cost of laser hair removal. laser hair removal atlanta georgia

Many times, places offering laser hair removal packages for extremely discounted rates do not have medical-grade equipment or professionally trained laser technicians.  It’s not uncommon for patients to come to Laser Lights for additional treatments after using a deal at another location because they are unsatisfied with their results.  By receiving services from an unlicensed laser technician, individuals also assume an increased risk of burns or scarring from misuse of lasers.

At Laser Lights, we only offer FDA approved laser equipment that is safe for your unique skin type.  As a member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), our certified laser technicians are dedicated to providing patients with optimal care to meet their skincare needs. Our laser hair removal services can reduce hair growth almost anywhere on the body.  The most common areas treated include laser hair removal on the legs, underarms, face, and bikini line.  Receiving treatment from an experienced laser technician also helps ensure that you will need fewer secondary sessions as the laser is set specifically for your unique skin and hair type.

Because hair grows in cycles, it is necessary for multiple treatments to achieve the best results. We also offer touch-up sessions for only $60. If you are interested in laser hair removal services, please call our office today.  Be sure to view our specials page for laser hair removal packages and other cosmetic savings. Be Cautious When Considering Laser Services Through Online Discount Sites

, , , , , , , , , , , ,

You may have come across cosmetic laser service deals available through online discount sites. These sites often promote services such as laser hair removal packages and laser skin resurfacing at 50-80% off their original price. These deals may seem great at first; however, these cosmetic spas may not have the highest grade technology available or an adequately trained staff.

It’s not uncommon we will have unsatisfied patients come to Laser Lights after using a discounted cosmetic laser treatment package through a online discount site.  Much of the time, the laser treatments these patients received from deal providers didn’t work or provide optimal results because the cosmetic spa didn’t use medical grade lasers. As laser treatments are medical in nature, it’s important to make sure the technician is properly certified and has experience performing the treatment you’re receiving. An improperly trained laser technician can result in treatment with the wrong laser, wrong settings, and in some cases, even burns or hyperpigmentation, scarring or hypopigmentation.

Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center’s over 12 different lasers afford patients the confidence in knowing all of our laser equipment is FDA approved, medical grade, and safe to meet their specific skin needs.  Dedicated to staying at the forefront of laser technology, and as a member of the American Society for Laser & Surgery we are committed to providing safe and effective laser treatments for all of our patients.  Since opening in 1999, our laser technicians have performed over 85,000 laser treatments. Our professional staff thoroughly discusses which particular laser will provide the best results for each patient’s individual needs during consultation.

Laser Lights has been dedicated to staying at the forefront of laser technology and advancements since our office opened over 10 years ago.  We are focused on providing safe and effective laser treatments for patients in the Atlanta and Duluth areas. As a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) our office is committed to instituting the latest research, education and clinical care in the field of medical lasers.

According to their website, ASLMS was founded in 1980 and “is the world’s largest professional organization dedicated to promoting excellence in patient care by advancing laser applications and related technologies.” This organization establishes practice guidelines and safety standards for the use of lasers, provides informative public information about laser treatment and publishes the world’s primary laser journal, Lasers in Surgery and Medicine. Demonstrated educational and practice experience is required to maintain an associate membership.

ASLMS includes a diverse group of individuals such as scientists, physicians and other health care professionals who are significantly involved with the laser industry. As there are many unique lasers specified for certain laser procedures a patient should make sure the provider only offers medical grade, FDA cleared or FDA approved lasers. When considering laser treatments it’s also imperative to find a qualified health care provider specializing in lasers and to look for American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery membership.

At Laser Lights we use over 12 different types of medical grade lasers to meet each patient’s specific skin needs. If you would like more information about our laser services, or would like to set up a skin analysis consultation, please contact our office today.
