Frequently Asked Questions about Latisse® Eyelash Enhancement

Uncategorized does Latisse really work, eyelash enhancement Atlanta, how long do you have to use Latisse, Latisse atlanta, where to buy Latisse in Atlanta

Sometimes loving your look and feeling confident is all about the little details. One small detail that can have a powerful impact on your appearance is your eyelashes. Long, voluminous lashes can truly make your eyes stand out, but false lashes, extensions, and gobs of mascara can be cumbersome and uncomfortable. That’s why so many people have turned to a more natural method: Latisse® eyelash enhancement. Our team of experienced medical professionals are often asked about this popular product, so we’re breaking down some of the most common questions to help you learn more.

How does Latisse® eyelash enhancement work?

Latisse® is a typical liquid that you apply at home every evening. You’ll simply apply it to your upper lash line each night, and it extends your lash hairs’ growth phase. With consistent use over time, this causes your lashes to become darker, longer, and fuller.

How do I get Latisse® eyelash enhancement?

This is a prescription-only product, so you need to get it from select types of medical professionals. At Laser Lights, these prescriptions can be received from our medical director, double board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. David Whiteman.

How long does it take to see results from Latisse® eyelash enhancement?

Getting the eyelash enhancement results you want is all about consistency. You’ll start to see results after four weeks of daily use, and your results will continue to improve until they reach their full strength at sixteen weeks. Keep in mind, however, that if you stop using Latisse®, your lashes will eventually return to the way they looked before you started using it. When you’ve reached sixteen weeks of use, come back in to discuss how to maintain your results.

Does Latisse® eyelash enhancement work for my lower lashes as well?

No. Latisse® is only designed to enhance your upper eyelashes. It’s also important to apply it sparingly, rather than applying too much and dabbing off the excess with a tissue.

I’m not very good at remembering to take medications. How can I remember to use my Latisse® every night?

Everyone has different strategies for remembering to use Latisse® every night, but here are a few tips:

Incorporate it into your nightly routine – after brushing your teeth and washing your face, for instance.
Keep your Latisse® somewhere you’ll see it. “Out of sight, out of mind” is true when it comes to medications.
Set an alarm on your phone to go off at a certain time each night.
Put a post-it note next to your bed that reminds you to use your Latisse®. It’s a good idea to move your reminder every few days or weeks so you don’t get used to it and ignore it.

Latisse® is an FDA-approved way to make your eyelashes longer, fuller, and darker without battling with false lashes and extensions on a regular basis. Now that you have all the details, all you need to do is schedule a consultation at Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center to find out if you can benefit from this innovative product. Don’t forget to follow us on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ as well for upcoming sales, events, skincare tips, and more.

Facial Finishing Touches

At Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center, some of our most popular treatments are those that improve the quality and appearance of the full face, like chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and laser skin resurfacing. Many patients love giving their skin an all-over brighter and more youthful look, but they often find that there’s still a detail or two that’s holding them back from feeling truly radiant. Not to worry, though! We also offer ways to enhance those pesky details and put the finishing touches on your summer glow.

Longer, fuller lashes
Eyelashes add a softer, more feminine look to the face, especially when they’re long, full, and dark enough to stand out. Fortunately, there’s a way to tackle all those qualities at once. Latisse® eyelash enhancement is the only FDA-approved way to make eyelashes longer, fuller, and darker, and it’s an easy addition to your nightly routine. While it requires a prescription from our board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. David Whiteman, Latisse® is easily applied at home by simply brushing it onto your upper lash line once per day, with full results visible after sixteen weeks.

Richly-colored eyebrows
Our eyebrows provide a frame that should complement the facial features, but many patients whose hair is naturally blond or another light color find themselves spending every day with a brow pencil just to make their eyebrows visible. Going with a more long-term solution instead, like professional eyebrow tinting, can save tons of time in your daily routine. At Laser Lights, we only use gentle, plant-based dyes that are safe for facial use. The treatment only takes around fifteen minutes, and results generally last for two to three months. Compare that to the five minutes you spend every morning trying to get the color and shape of your brows just right, and it’s a no-brainer.

Plump, bright lips
Everyone wants lips that are full, flattering, and colorful enough to go lipstick-less. Whether you’re concerned about the size or the color of your lips, we have you covered. Dermal fillers like Juvéderm®, Restylane®, and Radiesse® are best known for their ability to minimize wrinkles, but some fillers are also great for lip enhancement. Depending on which product best fits your needs, the results can last anywhere from six months to more than a year, and the treatment takes just minutes in our office.

The best part of these many options is that there’s no need to settle for just one—after all, how many of us only have one feature of our look that we’d like to improve? We offer a wide variety of beauty treatments, so schedule a consultation with us to discuss all your skincare goals and to create a multi-faceted plan toward looking and feeling your best. 7 Beauty Tips for Brides-to-Be

Uncategorized Atlanta microdermabrasion, Latisse atlanta, Latisse Atlanta GA, massage therapy Atlanta, massages in Atlanta, microdermabrasion Atlanta, skin care atlanta

Wedding season is upon us, and for many of us, that means we’re getting excited to celebrate our loved ones’ special days and reconnect with friends and family. But if you’re a bride-to-be, your wedding has probably been at the forefront of your mind for months. At Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center, we specialize in helping our patients feel beautiful, so to lend a hand to blushing brides, we’re offering a few tips to help you look your best for your wedding day and beyond.

Give Your Skin a Once-Over

Most of us have qualities about our skin that we’d like to change, and usually it’s more than one—we have fine lines in several areas, or acne scars, or a dull complexion. For many of our patients, the best “first step” toward glowing skin is a treatment that applies to the entire face and can address multiple issues at once. Chemical peels, Dermalinfusion® (the latest wave of microdermabrasion), and laser skin resurfacing are all great skincare multi-taskers.

Get the Devil Out of the Details

Too many brides have spent months on a bridal beauty regimen only to reach their wedding day and notice one detail that they’ve overlooked but suddenly can’t stop obsessing over. Make a list of all the cosmetic issues you’d like to address before your wedding, then look for a way to improve each one. For example, many brides find that Latisse® eyelash enhancement or eyelash tinting can give them the look they want for all those close-up photos of them gazing deeply into their new husband’s eyes.

Diet with Caution

Almost every bride has nightmares about not fitting into her dress—there’s something a bit terrifying about having a dress that’s custom fitted for you (weeks in advance) for one of the most important days in your life. But it the midst of watching the scale like a hawk, be careful not to under-eat. Nutrients like Vitamins A, B and C are vital for healthy skin, so stick with a balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins to give your body everything it needs without packing on last-minute pounds.

Don’t Neglect your Body Beauty

When we talk about a beauty regimen, usually we’re focusing on the face—after all, that’s the first thing we tend to notice when we look in the mirror. But unless your dress has long sleeves and a turtleneck, you’ll want to make sure to give some cosmetic attention to the areas that the dress will expose and accentuate. For example, treat yourself to laser hair removal to avoid the dreaded underarm five-o’clock shadow. Or, if you’ve fallen out of love with a tattoo that that’s front-and-center in your strapless dress, use your wedding as a reason to finally get laser tattoo removal.

Think Beyond the Wedding—to the Honeymoon

One of the best parts about spending months (or years) working toward your dream wedding is the honeymoon you get to spend relaxing on the beach after all that work is done. But feeling self-conscious in that cute swimsuit you bought for the occasion can really put a damper on the fun. Prepare yourself for lounging on the beach with confidence using treatments that can smooth cellulite or eliminate spider veins.

Put Your Stress to Bed

While getting ready for your wedding is one of the most exciting and optimistic times in your life, catering crises and decorating blunders can really pile on the stress. Not all wedding stress can be avoided, but it’s important to help yourself relax throughout the planning process. Not only is high-quality sleep necessary for radiant skin, but remember, the whole point of celebrating your wedding with family and friends is to have fun. If you have trouble relaxing on your own, leave it to the professionals by scheduling periodic massages leading up to the big day.

Plan Ahead

This may be the most important part of a successful pre-wedding beauty regimen: start early and plan well. Some beauty treatments (like laser hair removal) require several sessions for best results, so it can take a while to complete the full process. Other procedures (like chemical peels or laser skin resurfacing) involve some recovery time before the results are fully visible, while still others shouldn’t be administered too far in advance because the results could fade before your special day. Timing your beauty plan right can be tricky, so schedule a consultation with us sooner rather than later—we can help you decide which treatments will best meet your needs and get all your appointments on the books, so all you have to do is follow your pre- and post-procedure instructions and show up.

Looking your best for your big day may seem like a lot of work, but we have one more trick up our sleeve to help—we offer savings packages exclusively for brides-to-be (featuring combinations of must-have treatments and free skincare products), plus great cosmetic specials every month. At Laser Lights, we love helping our patients look and feel like the beauties they are, especially when it comes to their special day. Beyond Lasers: 4 Skincare Treatments to Keep Your Skin Looking Young

Anti-aging, Educational, Facial Rejuvenation, Uncategorized Atlanta anti-aging, Atlanta chemical peels, Atlanta facial injections, atlanta laser treatment, Atlanta skincare treatments, Botox Atlanta, cosmetic center Atlanta, Latisse atlanta

Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center has been providing top-notch laser treatments in Atlanta since 1999 and we still love utilizing the most advanced laser technology to provide our patients with glowing, radiant skin! While we treat everything from birthmarks to unwanted hair, we take pride in knowing that our patients also have access to great skincare treatments that go beyond lasers. We’re in love with all of our treatments but here are 4 popular skincare treatments that our patients are raving about.

Chemical Peels – Our chemical peels are available in a variety of strengths and can smooth imperfections, minimize fine lines and wrinkles, improve sun damage and age spots, and even help restore collagen in the face. After the skin is cleansed to remove makeup or impurities, a chemical peel solution is applied topically until it reaches the desired depth within the skin. Treatment generally lasts 30-minutes to an hour and works by eliminating the top-most layer of skin, revealing a supple, younger-looking complexion. Best of all, chemical peels require little to no downtime so you won’t have to miss out on the things that matter most!
Dermabrasion –The newest treatment we have adopted, SilkPeel® Dermalinfusion®, is the hottest dermabrasion treatment on the market and a true triple threat. Dermalinfusion® combines exfoliation, debris removal and condition-specific topical medication to evenly and gently buff away dead skin and impurities. This safe and painless treatment can treat acne, dullness, aging, dryness and hyperpigmentation and enables SilkPeel® to provide near-instant results. To top it all off, Dermalinfusion® is safe for men and women of all ages, skin types and skin tones.
Eyelash Enhancement – Having full lashes is something a lot of women strive for, but caking on mascara can only get us so far! Luckily, Latisse® eyelash enhancement is a specially-formulated FDA-approved prescription with the sole purpose of gradually increasing the volume and length of the lashes. Latisse® is applied to the upper eyelids daily and in as little as four weeks patients start to see darker, longer and thicker lashes with full results after 16 weeks.
Facial Injections – Tired of hiding behind wrinkles? While it’s an inevitable part of aging, trust us, we get it! Facial injections, like Botox® and Dysport®, are easily some of the most popular minimally-invasive anti-aging treatments on the market. Utilizing a purified form of botulinum toxin, facial injections temporarily relax the muscles between and around the eyes that cause fines lines and wrinkles. Treatments are quick, generally lasting 10-15 minutes, and smooth results last up to four months. With repeated treatments you’ll be well on your way to baby-smooth, wrinkle-free skin!

No two patients are alike and therefore we tailor each of our treatment plans specifically for each patient. This month we have specials on some of these popular treatments so be sure to take advantage of November specials before they run out! To schedule your next skincare treatment at Laser Lights, please contact our office. For even more news, specials and updates, follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Google+ for all the latest.

Turning Back the Clock without Plastic Surgery

Educational, Facial Rejuvenation, In The News, Uncategorized antiaging laser treatments, antiaging treatments atlanta, chemical peels atlanta, co2 laser antiaging, co2 laser atlanta, Duluth wrinkle treatments, erbium laser atlanta, laser skin resurfacing Atlanta, Latisse atlanta, micro laser peels atlanta, microdermabrasion Atlanta

To turn back the clock, it’s not always necessary to go under the knife for extensive procedures. Though effective with constantly improving technology, some may feel that undergoing plastic surgery is not something they are ready for. At Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center, we offer many effective options for patients who want in on anti-aging without drastic deviations from their current look or long downtime. Rather, procedures such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels, Erbium laser resurfacing, Latisse, and micro laser peels provide subtle changes that keep people guessing where you got your youthful glow.

Latisse for Eyelashes: As we age, our eyes become less bright and our eyelashes more sparse due to hair generally losing width and strength. The only FDA approved prescription treatment effective for promoting the growth of eyelashes is Latisse®, which more than doubles lash fullness in 16 weeks. To use Latisse®, you simply apply it to your upper eyelids each night after your normal bedtime routine. In as little as four weeks, you can begin to see longer, thicker and darker lashes appear.

Chemical Peels & Laser Resurfacing: Wrinkles, spots, and uneven skin patches can give away our age almost instantaneously. While we offer great fillers such as Botox® and Dysport®, we also perform procedures that improve overall skin tone and texture. Micro laser peels use CO2 fractionated laser technology to remove the outermost layers of skin on neck, chest, face, and/or hands. Essentially, a micro laser peel is a step between microdermabrasion and heavier chemical peels. Micro laser peels differ in that they use gentle laser light technology. The laser removes the top layers of skin while stimulating the body to naturally produce collagen, essential to reconstructing the skin to promote elasticity and smoother texture. Another anti-aging laser option is Erbium laser resurfacing, which treats brown spots, mild facial wrinkles and overall textural imperfections by stimulating collagen production in a less penetrating way than CO2 laser resurfacing.

In-Between Treatments for Aging: For patients with fewer visible signs of aging, both mild chemical peels and microdermabrasion are great options. Microdermabrasion exfoliates the top layer of dead skin, buffing it away with a fine-grained polishing wand and promoting the renewal of the outer layer. Mild chemical peels rejuvenate lifeless skin by using a combination of chemicals to promote the peeling off of dead skin. During a skin care analysis and pre-treatment consultation, a trained provider can determine whether a micro laser peel, microdermabrasion, or chemical peel is the best treatment to suit your needs.
