Micro Laser Peels Yield Major Results for Common Aging Problems
As side effects of aging and sun damage begin to culminate over the years, you may seek a way to eliminate them before they are beyond repair. Depending on your level of damage, there are a few routes you can take that all involve exfoliation to improve surface texture. Two popular options at Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser and Anti-Aging Center include microdermabrasion and chemical peels, which use non-invasive techniques to slough off dead skin and leave your new skin feeling fresh. For a more aggressive non-surgical option, we offer micro laser peels to address wrinkles, melasma, scarring, lack of elasticity and more.
Using Erbium and fractionated CO2 laser technology, the micro laser peel removes the outermost layers of skin, to stimulate collagen growth in the skin’s deeper layers by eliminating dull, lifeless skin. Not unlike microdermabrasion and chemical peels, micro laser peels require little to no downtime, with most patients returning to normal activities and makeup application after 24 to 48 hours. You’ll also see the benefit of quick results once healing is complete!
While similar in downtime, micro laser peels differ in their method. Chemical peels use various acidic solutions based on your specific skin needs to remove the top-most layer of skin, while microdermabrasion uses diamonds or crystals to exfoliate dead surface cells. Rather than using a solution or scrubbing technique, micro laser peels use light technology to peel away the top layers of skin and allow the body to naturally work miracles by revitalizing the skin. Available for the face, as well as the neck, chest, and hands, the Erbium laser penetrates the first three layers of skin to treat problem areas and promote collagen production. Ideally, micro laser peels are for patients looking for more dramatic results than microdermabrasion or chemical peels, but do not quite necessitate the extensive treatment of CO2 fractionated laser skin resurfacing—though CO2 can be the best option for some patients.
