Laser and Non-Laser Scar Reduction
At Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center, we offer over 12 different types of FDA-approved, medical-grade lasers for all of your unique skincare needs. Our highly adjustable lasers can be used for numerous procedures including laser hair removal, tattoo removal, wrinkle treatment and more.
We can also improve or remove scarring caused by acne, chicken pox or accidents. Our professional medical assistants use a variety of methods to treat your specific scars. Laser resurfacing can soften the appearance of scars by causing microscopic wounds that the body then heals by creating newer, younger looking skin cells. Most patients will need multiple resurfacing treatments, but will notice a visible change after their initial laser therapy sessions. Pulsed dye laser is an effective treatment for red scars including new scars or visible red stretch marks. This laser removes the redness and camouflage the scar leaving it barely visible.
We also offer other services to reduce and improve scarring. For instance, dermabrasion is a great option for raised scars, but is less effective for indented or sunken scars. Microdermabrasion can also be effective for raised scars. For smaller scars on the face like acne scars, chemical peels can be helpful by removing the top layer of dead, dull surface skin cells, leaving your face smoother and more vibrant. During a skin analysis, we would be able to recommend the best option for your individual needs.
