Skin Care Specials for All Ages

Uncategorized atlanta laser hair removal, atlanta laser treatments, microdermabrasion Atlanta, skin care atlanta, skin treatments Atlanta

It seems like every skincare product or new beauty treatment we hear about is focused on wrinkle reduction. While that’s great news in a way because wrinkles do affect all of us eventually, we’ve found that it can also make our younger and not-so-age-focused friends worry that there aren’t many options to address their aesthetic concerns. At Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center, that’s far from the truth, and this month, we’re offering specials on treatments for patients in their teens, their later years, and everything in between.

Holiday Open House: November 3^rd, 2016

This week, join us for our joint Holiday Open House with Southern Plastic Surgery! Enjoy one-day-only specials, an opportunity to meet our new management and staff, live treatment demonstrations, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, a chance to win free giveaways, and much more. RSVP today, or if you can’t make it to the open house, be sure to take advantage of our call-in sale earlier that day.

VI Peel®

Chemical peels have always been a patient favorite, because they’re suitable for all skin types and you can opt for a light peel for a simple brightening effect or a deeper peel to tackle more stubborn issues like acne scars, age spots, and wrinkles. While we offer a variety of peel options at Laser Lights, VI Peel® has always offered exceptional results.

Réjuvapen® Microneedling

You may have heard of dermal rollers, and Réjuvapen® is a more specialized and innovative version. Using ultrafine needles to stimulate the body’s healing process, microneedling can address scars (including acne scars), fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, and more.

Freckle/Brown Spot Removal

Some freckles we’re born with, and some we develop from sun exposure, but if you’re unhappy with your freckles, all that matters is how you get rid of them. Our laser treatment can target your freckles as well as other hyperpigmentation.

Spider Vein Removal and Rosacea Management

The bad news is that spider veins aren’t just your grandmother’s problem—they affect people of all ages, genders, and sizes. But the good news is that you’re not doomed to a lifetime of compression stockings. Our specialized laser can cause spider veins on both the face and the legs to fade away, in addition to reducing symptoms of rosacea, all with no needles and no downtime.

Fractionated CO₂ Laser Skin Resurfacing

Few skin rejuvenation procedures produce results that are as impressive as laser skin resurfacing, especially considering that the laser we use offers minimized recovery time and a natural-looking finish. As a comprehensive treatment, fractionated laser resurfacing can address wrinkles, sagging skin, age spots, acne scars, and much more all at once.

SilkPeel® Microdermabrasion

As a new twist on the long-time favorite of microdermabrasion, SilkPeel® feels surprisingly gentle as it exfoliates away the damaged surface skin. In the same process, specialized topical medication is applied, allowing it to reach deeper layers of the skin. Whether you want to control acne, minimize fine lines, or simply achieve a brighter and more uniform complexion, SilkPeel® can be customized to you.

Laser Hair Removal

We all have unwanted hair somewhere on our face or body, and who wouldn’t love to stop worrying about shaving or waxing? Laser hair removal can achieve long-term results after a series of four to six quick treatments, and it’s suitable for all skin types and nearly any area of the body. And why not get your hair removed at the facility who was recently voted Atlanta’s Best for Laser Hair Removal in Best Self’s annual contest?

Everyone wants to put their best foot forward when they reconnect with family and friends for the holidays, and now is the perfect time to start your cosmetic treatments in order to be ready for the coming months. To start discussing your aesthetic options, scheduled a complementary consultation today. Spread Some Summer Joy with June Specials

Uncategorized Atlanta laser skin treatments, Atlanta laser treatment discounts, Atlanta laser treatment specials, atlanta laser treatments, Atlanta natural growth factors

What could be better than a summer full of beach vacations, barbecues, and reunions with friends and family? Enjoying all that summer fun while looking and feeling your best! We know that’s easier said than done, because sadly, there are no magic pills to instantly take away wrinkles, excess fat, cellulite, acne, and the many other cosmetic issues we help patients with every day. We do, however, have the next best thing: cash-saving deals on cosmetic treatments for nearly any concern.

SculpSure® Fat Reduction

Find out why the latest technology for non-invasive fat reduction has been featured on The Doctors, NBC News, and many other media outlets: a 25-minute treatment which can reduce targeted fat by an average of 24%! You’ll save $100 on your first treatment if you purchase it this month. Or, for an even better deal, RSVP to our June 9^th Demo Day to watch live demonstrations of a SculpSure™ fat reduction treatment, enjoy a complementary personal consultation, and save as much as $800 on your first treatment!

NEW Natural Growth Factors with Microneedling

Did you know your own blood contains natural growth factors which can amplify the results of your Réjuvapen® microneedling and give you smoother, more youthful-looking skin? Natural growth factors are the latest addition to our menu of services, and this month, you can save $100 on your first treatment of microneedling with growth factors.

Organic Airbrush Tanning

Yes, it is possible to get that bronze summer glow without putting your skin at risk. Our airbrush tans are administered by a licensed and experienced aesthetician who can tailor your tan to your specific needs. Plus, the solution is made with all natural and organic ingredients, which means no orange-based dyes.

Cellulite Reduction & Skin Firming

Cellulite is one of those cosmetic problems that’s notoriously difficult to get rid of, even with diet and exercise. Our Viora® Reaction™ treatment uses a combination of controlled warmth and vacuum pressure to reduce cellulite while also giving the skin a more smooth, toned, and youthful firmness. Try it for body contouring OR for facial rejuvenation.

Laser Hair Removal

Let’s be honest, laser hair removal sounds like a dream for most of us – being able to eliminate the need for all that shaving, waxing, razor burn, and other unpleasantness. You can get started just in time for summer AND save some cash with our June 20% off special.

SilkPeel® Microdermabrasion

While microdermabrasion has been around for quite some time, SilkPeel® actually puts a new spin on the old classic with a process called Dermalinfusion®. The diamond-tipped wand gently removes the dead and damaged skin cells on the surface, making way for the refreshed skin beneath to shine through, while customized topical solutions are applied based on your specific needs (like acne, anti-aging, or acne scars) to give them maximum effect.

Micro Laser Peel

Laser can do wonders for a number of skin concerns, from age spots to fine lines and wrinkles to acne scars. But not everyone needs a fractionated CO2 laser skin resurfacing treatment. If you want to get your feet wet without getting a heavier treatment than you need, our micro laser peel may be the perfect place to start.

Laser Tattoo Removal

Ah, tattoos…the fact that they’re permanent is both appealing and, if you change your mind a few years, months, weeks, or hours later, terrifying. But thanks to modern science, they’re not necessarily permanent anymore, because our advanced lasers can clear away a wider variety of ink colors in a shorter number of treatments than earlier technology.

Summer is a time to let loose, enjoy the long days, and take a break from the day-to-day grind, but it’s even more fun when you can leave self-consciousness at the door and feel confident in your appearance. To get started before our June specials end, schedule a complimentary consultation at Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center. How to Ace a No-Makeup Selfie

Uncategorized Atlanta chemical peels, atlanta facials, atlanta laser treatments, Atlanta microdermabrasion, Atlanta microneedling

No-makeup selfies are all over social media, and at their core, we love the message behind them – encouraging us all to step away from our Instagram filters, ditch the cover-up, and appreciate the beauty we already have. But for many (including our own patients at Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center), that’s much easier said than done because, despite that saying our elders used to get us through those awkward teenage years, beauty ISN’T only skin-deep. If you’re not happy with your appearance, the self-consciousness can be a nagging stressor that’s constantly in the back of your mind, putting up invisible blocks to hold back your smile. That’s why we’re here to help with treatments to unleash (instead of cover up) your own natural beauty by addressing your specific concerns.

Undo sun damage

We may not have a DeLorean that can take you back in time and remind you to slather on the sunscreen, but we do have a number of ways to minimize those pesky age spots which have appeared after years of sun exposure. For milder spots, light chemical peels or microdermabrasion may be effective, but for more significant hyperpigmentation, your best bet may be fractionated CO2 laser skin resurfacing, photofacial rejuvenation, or targeted laser treatments, which still offer little downtime.

Banish acne once and for all

Whether you’ve been battling one pimple or another for decades or you’ve been fairly acne-free until recently, we may be able to help. Silk Dermalinfusion® microdermabrasion removes dead skin cells and damaged surface skin while using a customized topical solution to give you clearer skin and keep acne at bay. Some gentle chemical peels are even well-suited for acne treatment, and we offer acne facials which are designed specifically with those clogged pores in mind.

Show your age in wisdom, not wrinkles

Nobody likes to look in the mirror and see fresh wrinkles, but here’s the good news: because this is one of the most common aesthetic complaints around, it has a wide variety of potential fixes, too! If you want to go the ever-popular injectables route, our double board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. David Whiteman offers muscle-relaxing injections like Botox® as well as fillers like Restylane® and Juvéderm®. Other effective wrinkle-smoothers include microneedling, laser treatments, photofacial rejuvenation, and chemical peels.

Get that fresh-foundation look

Ah, the dream – waking up every day to a complexion that looks great foundation-free. Réjuvapen® microneedling is one of our newest and hottest treatments, using tiny needles to activate your body’s natural collagen production for minimized acne scars, smaller pores, and an overall more radiant and even complexion. If facial redness is your main concern, we have specialized laser treatments that can help, and we can also remedy other complexion issues with chemical peels or Silk Dermalinfusion® microdermabrasion.

Kick acne scars to the curb

Whether they’re raised, pitted, or simply discolored, acne scars are quite the challenge to cover up. Depending on the shape and characteristics of your scarring, we may recommend photo rejuvenation, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, microneedling, or fractionated CO2 laser skin resurfacing to help you finally purge those unhappy reminders of pimples past.

Top it all off with luxe lashes

Beautiful eyelashes can be the perfect finishing touch for any look, and you may not need mascara to get them. Latisse® eyelash enhancement allows your lashes to continue growing past the point when they would normally stagnate, causing them to become longer, fuller, and darker.

We all enjoy looking our best – it inspires a confidence that allows us to let loose and enjoy the rest of our lives more fully. But we’re happy to say that you don’t always need makeup to make that happen. By tackling each of the cosmetic issues that are holding you back, we’re here to help you fearlessly snap those No-Makeup selfies and take on any other challenges that come your way. To discuss the best treatments for your skincare needs, schedule a consultation at Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center. Tips for Making Your Laser Treatments as Successful as Possible

Uncategorized acne light therapy Atlanta, atlanta laser treatments, Atlanta microdermabrasion, laser mole removal Atlanta, mole removal Atlanta

At Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center, we know first-hand the wonders that laser treatments can do for your skin, but we also realize that they can feel intimidating because, for first-timers, lasers are so different from any procedure they’ve had before. There are plenty of do’s and don’ts when it comes to laser treatments, and we want you to be able to get the best possible results so you can experience the real potential of your procedure of choice, whether it be laser hair removal, fractionated CO2 laser skin resurfacing, laser mole removal, or any number of other options. So we’ve compiled a list of some tips that can help you maximize your results, whether you’re new to the world of lasers or you’re a seasoned veteran.

Before Your Laser Treatment

If you smoke, stop as long before your appointment as possible, because it can hinder your ability to heal.
Protect your skin from sun exposure for several weeks ahead of time. Wear sunscreen every day and reapply every few hours, look for sun-blocking clothing, and avoid tanning both indoors and outdoors. It’s also a good idea to avoid spray tans for a few weeks.
Avoid certain grooming before your treatment, based on the laser technician’s instructions. This varies by procedure. For instance, before laser hair removal it’s best to be clean-shaven but to avoid any hair removal which can damage the follicles, like waxing or plucking, while you may be asked to avoid shaving for a certain period of time before tattoo removal.
Be careful about which meds you’re taking, both prescription and over-the-counter. Even aspirin, ibuprofen, and some herbal medications can increase your risk for bruising.
If you have a history of cold sores, ask us about antiviral medications before facial laser treatments to reduce your risk for an outbreak.
Do your homework. Look for a facility that’s associated with the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), a highly-regarded organization with important standards and qualifications for cosmetic laser centers.
Get the timing right. Because sun protection is vital post-laser treatment, winter is an ideal time because you won’t be spending as much time outside or exposing as much skin as you would during the summer. Many laser procedures also have a healing period, so be sure to plan accordingly if you have big events coming up.

After Your Laser Treatment

Reduce your risks for recurrence of the cosmetic issue you treated. For instance, if you focused on facial rejuvenation, establish a good anti-aging skincare routine and follow other practices to slow wrinkles. If acne scars were your target, seek prompt treatment like acne light therapy for any future acne. Or, if you had laser spider vein treatments, reduce your risk for more spider veins by avoiding long periods of sitting or standing.
Sun protection, sun protection, & more sun protection! After a laser treatment, UV rays can cause pigmentation changes and other long-lasting problems, so keep as much of your skin covered with protective clothing as you can and keep up with reapplying sunscreen on all exposed skin, even when you’re in the car or under an umbrella.
Follow all post-treatment instructions closely. This is a biggie. Everyone’s skin is different, and your laser technician will know best what you should do to get the best results with the least risk.
Stock up on post-laser skincare products. Yes, there are products that are made specifically for post-laser skin, and we can recommend the ideal ones for your skin type.
Follow the recommended course of treatment. There’s a reason some procedures require multiple sessions, and while some patients stop partway through when they start to see results, you won’t be as satisfied long-term if you cut corners. Plus, we offer savings packages of multiple sessions for many of our treatments, so you can get more bang for your buck if you purchase them all at once.
Get started on a consistent regimen of lighter treatments, like chemical peels or Silk Dermalinfusion® microdermabrasion, to maintain your results from facial rejuvenation laser procedures.

All these tips can be great ways to make the most of your laser treatments by enhancing your results and lowering your risks for side effects, but we have one more reminder to keep in mind: your ultimate resource should be your laser technician. They’re the expert who’s knowledgeable about both the treatment you’re receiving and your specific skin, so don’t hesitate to ask them questions about both preparation and aftercare. To get started with a skin analysis, schedule a consultation at Laser Lights. Or, for more helpful tips and our latest special offers, follow us on Facebook, and Twitter.

Ask Laser Lights: What Can I Do About My Age Spots?

Uncategorized anti aging laser treatments Atlanta, Atlanta laser age spot removal, atlanta laser center, atlanta laser treatments, Atlanta microdermabrasion

For many of us, “aging” is a swear word. You do what you can to stave it off by keeping up a healthy lifestyle and skincare routine, but ultimately, the years catch up with us all. When our patients want to look younger, they typically come in asking for treatments to reduce wrinkles, but there’s another tell-tale sign of aging which is often forgotten but can instantly give away your years: age spots. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways we can treat them.

Laser Treatments
Age spots are made up of melanin, the pigment your body naturally produces. As sun damage accumulates over the years, your skin produces more melanin to try to protect itself, which creates an appearance of patches that are darker than your normal skin tone. Laser treatments send targeted energy into these pigment cells, breaking them up into smaller particles, which allows your body to naturally absorb and eliminate them. Most age spots can be minimized with just one or two targeted laser treatments, leaving you with a younger-looking complexion.

Chemical Peels
Another way to address age spots is by clearing away the damaged outer layers of skin. Just as the name suggests, during a chemical peel, one of our highly experienced licensed aestheticians will apply a chemical solution to your skin, which will penetrate to a specified depth before being washed away. The depth of your treatment, as well as the amount of visible peeling your skin will experience throughout the natural process that occurs in the days and weeks after your procedure, depends on your unique cosmetic goals (since peels can treat different skin issues at once).

Micro Laser Peels
Essentially, a micro laser peel is like a chemical peel without the chemicals. Though it uses the same approach of helping your body shed the damaged outer layers of skin to reveal the brighter, younger-looking skin beneath, a micro laser peel uses fractionated CO₂ laser technology to achieve great results with minimal recovery time. Plus, the laser helps your body produce more collagen (the component that gives your skin youthful firmness, smoothness, and elasticity).

Silk Dermalinfusion® Microdermabrasion
As our gentlest way to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, Silk Dermalinfusion® puts a new spin on tried-and-true microdermabrasion. As the damaged top layer of skin is buffed away, a customized topical solution is applied. Because Silk Dermalinfusion® microdermabrasion doesn’t affect the skin as deeply as the other treatment options do, it’s downtime-free and can be an ideal option for patients who are looking for a more mild procedure.

Without a doubt, there are some excellent ways to minimize age spots and to restore a younger appearance with little or no recovery time. So then the question is, which one is best for you? Finding the right option involves considering the unique features of your skin, your other cosmetic concerns, and more, so the first step is to schedule a skin analysis and consultation at Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center.
