The 411 on Viora Reaction™ Cellulite Reduction and Skin Tightening

Uncategorized Atlanta body contouring, atlanta cellulite reduction, Atlanta non-surgical body sculpting, Atlanta skin tightening, Atlanta viora reaction

At Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center, we focus on non-surgical aesthetic treatments, ranging from facial rejuvenation to fat reduction. While some of our services are well-known staples in the cosmetic industry (like chemical peels and laser hair removal), others have a tendency to make patients say, “you can do that without plastic surgery?” Don’t get us wrong, we’ve seen cosmetic surgery make a powerful difference in patients’ lives, but for those who are looking for a less dramatic change or who aren’t prepared for the recovery time of plastic surgery, we offer treatments to address a wide variety of aesthetic concerns for the face and body. One procedure that tends to surprise patients is Viora Reaction™: a unique treatment which can be used nearly anywhere on the face and body to tighten skin, reduce cellulite, and offer an overall smoother and more flattering skin texture. Here are the details you need to know:

How Viora Reaction™ skin treatment works:

The treatment uses several different methods at once to tackle multiple cosmetic issues and achieve more comprehensive results. By combining vacuum pressure with three different modes of radio frequency energy (RF), Viora stimulates blood flow and delivers controlled warmth to the deeper layers of the skin as well as the fat underneath. This combination stimulates your body’s healing and metabolic processes to create a more slender silhouette, firmer skin, and less cellulite.

What to expect during your Viora Reaction™ skin treatment:

You’ll come to Laser Lights for your appointment with the treatment area clean (e.g., no makeup, lotion, or other products), and our body contouring specialists will begin by applying a topical gel to your skin. Patients typically find the treatment itself to be quite comfortable, with sensations of suction and warmth, with sessions typically lasting around 20-30 minutes (though your treatment length will depend on the area being treated). When it’s finished, sunscreen is applied to protect your skin from sun damage, and you can simply continue on with your day with no recovery time. Keep in mind, however, that you may have some temporary redness and/or bruising.

What a typical course of Viora Reaction™ skin treatments include:

While visible results will begin to develop after just one session, most Viora Reaction™ patients will see optimal results after six to eight treatments. Schedule a consultation at Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center when you can discuss your desired results and our experienced and knowledgeable staff can recommend the ideal course for you.

Remember, while Viora Reaction™ can create a more slender appearance by reducing cellulite and skin laxity, it isn’t a replacement for weight loss or a healthy lifestyle, but a complement to it so you can address those cosmetic frustrations that diet and exercise simply won’t fix. Schedule your complimentary consultation to get started. Or, for information about our upcoming events and special offers, follow Laser Lights on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.

Skin Treatments After Plastic Surgery

Uncategorized atlanta cellulite reduction, Atlanta facial rejuvenation, Atlanta laser skin treatments, Atlanta natural growth factors, Atlanta skincare

Aesthetic procedures come in all shapes and forms, from quick injections to non-surgical skin treatments to plastic surgeries. It all depends on what cosmetic concerns you want to address, what results you want, and what you’re comfortable with. In fact, many patients will get the most bang for their buck by combining surgical and non-surgical techniques. At Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center, our affiliation with Southern Plastic Surgery, PC means you can receive excellent surgical results from board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. David Whiteman as well as top-notch treatments to enhance your results, all from one cohesive team. But which enhancement procedures are the most beneficial for plastic surgery patients?

Facial Skin Resurfacing

Skin resurfacing is essentially removing the dead and damaged surface skin in order to make way for the more youthful skin below and to help your body build more collagen – a protein which makes the skin firmer and smoother. There are many different treatments which use varying techniques to achieve this goal, from fractionated CO2 laser skin resurfacing to chemical peels to micro laser peels. These procedures can be a terrific complement to facelifts because, while the surgery will restore a lifted and firmer shape to the face, skin treatments can add a finishing touch by reducing surface imperfections like age spots, acne scars, and fine lines.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Unlike a typical massage which focuses on relaxing the muscles, lymphatic drainage massage uses precise motions and pressure levels to aid your body lymphatic system – the process which eliminates cell waste. While this can offer an immune system boost even for non-surgical patients, it’s especially beneficial for plastic surgery patients because it reduces post-procedure swelling and can aid in the healing process.

Microneedling and Natural Growth Factors

Using a similar concept to fractionated CO2 laser skin resurfacing by initiating the body’s natural healing process to form new collagen, microneedling has become a highly popular and versatile treatment. With minimal downtime, Rejuvapen® microneedling can minimize scars, fine lines, and wrinkles while also adding firmness and youthfulness to the skin. But the results are even more powerful when it’s combined with your own natural growth factors. This involves taking a specific, concentrated component of your own blood (using a small sample about the same size as the vials normally used for simple medical testing) and applying it topically after the microneedling. That component contains growth factors that amplify collagen production even more, and the microneedling allows them to reach many depths within the skin. Beyond facial rejuvenation, this treatment is also highly effective for minimizing surgical scars on nearly any area of the body.

Viora® Skin Tightening & Cellulite Reduction

Though most people think of skin tightening as a treatment for the face to reduce skin laxity from aging (which Viora® can provide excellent results for), our Viora® treatments are also highly effective on other areas of the body by going beyond skin firming to also provide cellulite reduction for those ever-frustrating “dimples.” Using precise radio frequency energy (RF) as well as vacuum pressure, Viora® stimulates blood flow, reduces fat cell size, and contracts the skin for a slimmer, smoother, and more youthful look. What better way to put the finishing touches on a procedure like liposuction than to help your skin become more firm around your newly slender physique?

Health & Wellness Coaching

Weight fluctuations can have a strong impact on your appearance – even after plastic surgery. As happy as you may be with the results of your body contouring procedures (like a tummy tuck, liposuction, or arm lift), future weight gain can reduce these results and ultimately leave you feeling self-conscious once again, so maintaining your post-surgery weight can help you enjoy your results for decades to come. Our NESTA-certified weight management specialist Jackie Madison can keep you motivated and on track by providing consistent “real life” coaching and customized plans to help you meet your specific goals.

Feeling confident in your appearance is an ongoing process, but the good news is that you don’t have to figure it out on your own. At Laser Lights and Southern Plastic Surgery, we’re here to help by discussing your needs and designing a step-by-step plan to help you look and feel your best. To get started, schedule a consultation with either of our highly qualified facilities. Or, for more skincare tips, special offers, and more, follow Laser Lights on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.

How to Rock a Summer Bod

Uncategorized atlanta cellulite reduction, atlanta laser hair removal, Atlanta laser vein reduction, Atlanta microneedling, Atlanta non-surgical fat reduction

For many of us, “bittersweet” is the perfect word to describe the onset of summer. There’s so much to look forward to, from vacations to warm weather to events and parties, and yet, all this comes with the terrifying thought of putting on a bathing suit after six months of hiding under sweaters and jeans. But here’s the good news to make your summer a little sweeter: between Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center and our parent practice Southern Plastic Surgery, we have solutions for nearly anything that makes you feel self-conscious about your beach body.

To improve your figure:

We have a host of different ways you can whip your body into shape. If you’re looking for full-body weight loss and muscle tone, our NESTA certified weight management specialist Jackie Madison can design a plan around your needs and goals, coaching you along the way and providing customized nutritional and exercise plans. If the problem isn’t so much your overall weight but specific areas of stubborn fat, you could be an ideal candidate for either liposuction with double board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. David Whiteman or for SculpSure™ non-surgical fat reduction, the most advanced non-invasive fat reduction treatment available today. Schedule a consultation at Laser Lights or Southern Plastic Surgery to discuss which option may be best for you.

To reduce cellulite or skin laxity:

If the problem isn’t necessarily excess fat but sagging skin or cellulite, you may be a good fit for Viora Reaction™ cellulite reduction and skin firming. This non-invasive procedure uses three modes of radio frequency (RF) energy, as well as a specialized suction process to improve blood flow, smooth cellulite, and tighten skin, even creating a reduction in size in the process. However, if you have a significant amount of excess skin (such as following dramatic weight loss or some pregnancies), you may be a better fit for plastic surgery with Dr. David Whiteman instead of cellulite reduction.

To enhance a pale skin tone:

We all know that sun exposure and tanning can damage both the health and the appearance of our skin, but there’s hope for the pale and unhappy. Our licensed and experienced aesthetician offers professional airbrush tanning using Eco Tan®, an entirely organic and natural sunless tanning spray. The best part? Eco Tan® can last for a week or longer, and it derives its color from natural cacao, rather than from orange-based dyes, so you don’t have to worry about looking like a pumpkin as much you would with a traditional, automated spray tan.

To reduce stretch marks or scars:

Whether they’re from surgery, pregnancy, C-section childbirth, or injuries, scars and stretch marks can be a burden during swimsuit season. Our Réjuvapen® micro needling treatments can be effective for reducing each of these concerns while also rejuvenating and smoothing the skin. This procedure uses ultrafine needles to stimulate your body’s natural healing process, which breaks down existing scar tissue and replaces it for a smoother, more discreet appearance. As an added bonus, the extra collagen your body produces will help the treated skin to be firming and more youthful, too.

To remove unwanted body hair:

It’s just a fact – nearly all of us have hair we’d rather be without. Sure, you can take care of it at home with shaving and waxing, but summer clothing leaves no room for stubble, and who has time for all that maintenance? We won’t even go into the pain waxing causes or the razor burn that comes from shaving. Laser hair removal, on the other hand, just requires a short series of treatments (we usually recommend six for the most thorough and long lasting results), and by damaging the individual follicles, it leaves you with smoother, hair-free skin for years to come.

To eliminate spider veins:

Spider veins are one of the sneaky cosmetic issues which seem to pop up out of nowhere, and because of their unfortunate stereotype, they can instantly make young legs look older. Our laser vein reduction treatments use a specific wavelength of light which targets and blocks off the precise veins, leaving the skin unharmed and allowing the body to naturally eliminate the treated vein. Most of our patients see complete results after just one to three sessions, so your spider veins could be gone before you know it.

It’s safe to say that nearly all of us have something we’re unhappy with about our appearance, and while we’re certainly proponents of learning to love your natural beauty, it doesn’t mean you need to accept something that makes you unhappy, so you can build up your confidence while also fine-tuning your look into one that makes you feel empowered. To get started on the road to a summer bod that makes you look forward to that bathing suit, schedule a complimentary consultation with us. Ask Laser Lights: How Can I Get My Beach Body Back in Shape?

Uncategorized atlanta cellulite reduction, Atlanta cellulite treatment, Atlanta skin tightening, Atlanta viora reaction

With bathing suit season back in full swing, many of us realize that there is more to feeling confident in a swimsuit than being happy with your weight. Especially when it comes to our bottom half, cellulite can make even the fittest of us cling to our more concealing clothing. But at Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center, we have a treatment for that. Many of our patients who are self-conscious about their beach bodies have found success with a high-tech new treatment called Viora Reaction™, so we’re taking a closer look at just how it can make a difference to those who want to be more confident in their beach bodies.

Cellulite Reduction

One of the most difficult cosmetic skin problems to tackle is cellulite. It’s caused by fat deposits beneath the skin, and while overweight people may see their cellulite reduce as they lose weight, it won’t cause the cellulite to go away completely. Because most other products and treatments that claim to reduce cellulite have produced dubious results, cellulite reduction is often the biggest reason patients turn to Viora Reaction™. The procedure sends precise RF (radio frequency) energy into the skin to break up the fat cells beneath that are causing cellulite, and the patient’s body will then naturally eliminate these fat cells.

Skin Tightening

The years take a toll on everyone’s skin, causing it to lose firmness, and this occurs earlier for some patients than it does for others. For those who are already worried about cellulite dimples, lax skin can make them feel especially self-conscious and concerned that they look older than they’d like to. But during Viora Reaction™ treatments, the RF energy that’s so skilled at breaking down cellulite-causing fat cells also helps your skin to rebuild collagen and elastin. The result is skin that has a more youthful firmness, texture, and tone.

Size Reduction

When patients see their Viora Reaction™ results, they also notice that the circumference of their treatment area has gotten smaller. While it isn’t a weight loss technique and won’t make you drop six dress sizes, the combination of reducing superficial fat cells and tightening the skin can give you a sleeker, slimmer look, and can be a great way to polish off hard-earned weight loss, too.

Cellulite is one of those beauty problems that is notoriously difficult to target, and it’s next to impossible to tackle through natural means, but that doesn’t mean you’re stuck with it. To discuss how Viora Reaction™ can address your cosmetic concerns and get you back onto the beach and flaunting your slimmer, younger-looking figure, schedule a consultation today.
