Understanding Non-Surgical Hair Restoration With Growth Factors

scalp-close-upHair loss is one of those aesthetic concerns that many people are ashamed of, without fully understanding just how common it is. This issue affects men and women of all ages, and can be a leading cause of lost self-esteem and a negative body image. Thankfully, hair restoration treatments have come a very long way in recent years. Here at Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center, we perform non-surgical hair restoration with natural growth factors to help our patients naturally regrow some of their lost hair. Today, we have answered a few common questions about our non-surgical hair restoration treatments for the benefit of our readers.

What Cosmetic Technologies Are Available for Non-surgical Hair Restoration with Growth Factors?

Here at Laser Lights, we offer natural growth factors as an accompaniment to either microneedling or cosmetic injections for our hair restoration patients. In either case, small amounts of the patient’s blood will be drawn and the natural growth factors within extracted. Once this is done, the growth factors will be delivered to the scalp either by injection or with the microneedling device. Both treatment methods are performed by our experienced cosmetic injector who is a board-certified nurse practitioner. The treatments are simple, safe, and proven to help achieve outstanding hair restoration results.

How Many Treatment Sessions Will Be Required?

Our non-surgical hair restoration treatments typically require multiple treatment sessions, spaced roughly 6 weeks apart, in order to achieve the best and most lasting results. Although this may vary based on the amount of hair loss our patient is dealing with, we typically recommend between 4-6 treatment sessions. We will provide a more detailed treatment plan during the pre-treatment consultation appointment once we determine your needs.

How Much Downtime Will I Need Following My Treatment?

This is a non-invasive, non-surgical approach to hair restoration, so downtime is thankfully minimal. Although this may depend on each patient’s unique treatment path, we will often apply a topical numbing agent to reduce any post-treatment discomfort. Patients can return to their normal daily routines including work, school, and exercising immediately after their treatment has concluded. Some minor temporary redness or swelling in the area is possible.

We are incredibly excited for more and more patients to see for themselves what these exceptional treatments are capable of.
