Restylane® is safe and effective in removing wrinkles in the face as well as add lost volume to parts of the face, such as the cheeks or lips.  The effects of Restylane® last between 6-12 months, largely dependent on the part of the face being treated.   Juvéderm® is similar to Restylane®, as both are produced from hyaluronic acid.  Effects from this particular facial filler may last up to one year, thanks in part to its unique Hylacross™ technology that makes Juvéderm® much more smooth and less granular than other facial fillers. Because of this property, Juvedérm® is generally recommended for more severe facial wrinkles, especially areas of volume loss like the cheeks.
