Wrinkle Reduction

Collagen and elastin are your body’s natural defense against the appearance of aging skin. Inevitably, environmental factors like sun exposure and repeated facial expressions break down the proteins more quickly than our bodies can rebuild and replace them. This breakdown causes our skin to settle into folds (wrinkles) and begin to appear wilted.

Laser Lights has FDA approved laser equipment that successfully removes fine facial lines, improves deeper facial wrinkles and is safe for all skin types.  Our laser treatments for wrinkles can be completed during your lunch hour with no redness or disruption of skin surfaces. Two of the lasers we commonly use for wrinkle removal or reduction are the Erbium Laser or the Fractionated CO2 Laser. Both lasers do this in a way that prevents damage to tissue surrounding the treatment area, offering maximum results with minimal recovery time and are effective in the treatment of aging and sun-damaged skin - restoring softer, smoother, more youthful looking skin.

Erbium Laser Resurfacing

Erbium Laser Skin Resurfacing is a procedure specifically designed to remove superficial and moderately deep lines and wrinkles on the face. The treatment requires a local or topical anesthetic. Studies have shown that the Erbium Laser stimulates the production of collagen, creating a tightening and smoothing of the skin.

Fractionated CO2 Laser Resurfacing

If you have deeper set lines, or more extensive levels of skin damage, Laser Lights also offers Fractionated CO2 laser treatments. The CO2 fractionated laser penetrates deeper into the layers of the skin to erase more pronounced creasing or pigmentation. Fractionated (Fraxel) CO2 laser technology utilizes a series of tiny laser columns to penetrate the dermis creating tiny wounds that the body heals by increasing production of collagen and elastin and generating “new skin”. Instead of treating a large area, fractionated lasers target very specific areas allowing us to tailor the treatment depending on the extent of wrinkle formation or skin damage in the area. The tiny amount of skin exposed to the laser at a time makes the laser useful for a variety of skin conditions including: wrinkling, melasma (spots of skin darkening), and acne scarring on the face, neck, chest, and hands of men and women.

All Erbium and Fractionated Co2 laser resurfacing treatments are performed by our double board certified Atlanta plastic surgeon, David M. Whiteman and our registered nurse Patricia C. Daniel; both owners of Laser Lights Plastic Surgery and Cosmetic Laser Center in Duluth, Georgia have experience performing laser treatments since 1995.
