Laser Lights Plastic Surgery and Cosmetic Laser Center in Atlanta, Georgia offers a variety of facial fillers such as Restylane®, Juvéderm™, Radiesse®, Botox®, Perlane®, etc. used to improve facial contours, enhance lips and cheeks, remove fine facial lines, reduce deep facial wrinkles. Many of these facial fillers can be used for scar removal or reduction. All facial filler injections are performed by Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon David M. Botox® is FDA approved to safely and temporarily erase or improve wrinkles around the eyes and forehead. Results typically last around six months and side effects are minimal. Reinjections are recommended every three months, though this is typically for more deep and defined wrinkles. Botox® is the most popular facial filler today with close to five million procedures performed each year in the United States.

In June of 2009, the FDA approved Dysport® as a second option for those looking for a fine line and wrinkle removing solution. This product is similar in many ways to Botox®, but it boasts an even faster recovery time, a cheaper price, and results also lasting up to six months.

Restylane® is safe and effective in removing wrinkles in the face as well as add lost volume to parts of the face, such as the cheeks or lips. The effects of Restylane® last between 6-12 months, largely dependent on the part of the face being treated. Perlane® is an off-shoot of Restylane®, as they are made by the same company, but Perlane® is made up of larger gel particles meant for deep injections into severely wrinkled areas.

Juvederm™ is similar to Restylane®, as both are produced from hyaluronic acid. Effects from this particular facial filler may last up to one year, thanks in part to its unique Hylacross™ technology that makes Juvederm™ much less granular than other facial fillers. Because of this property, Juvederm™ is generally recommended for more severe facial wrinkles, especially areas of volume loss like the cheeks.

Radiesse® separates itself from the facial filler pack, being comprised of calcium-based microspheres that are meant to stimulate the bodies production of collagen. This is a connective tissue protein that supports our internal organs and diminishes with age, so Radiesse® may prove beneficial to those concerned about their body's collagen production.
