Laser Lights Offers Atlanta Massage Therapy

Although Laser Lights is a cosmetic laser center, we also offer other treatments like facials, chemical peels, and more to meet our patients’ skin care needs. Though not always referred to as a “skin care service,” we also offer massage therapy.

Before a massage, our massage therapist will ask you a few questions to determine areas to focus on and any underlying sources of muscle pain or stress to help determine what massage type would most benefit you. During the massage, she uses a combination of her aforementioned specialties based on your specific needs. She typically recommends new patients receive a Swedish massage as it’s gentler and produces all-over muscle relaxation. However patients who have had massages in the past, or are suffering extreme muscle tightness, may benefit from a deep tissue massage. She also uses myofascial therapy to relieve tension caused by damaged fascia (connective tissue that attaches muscle to bone), which is also known as trigger point therapy.

What Cosmetic Skin Treatments does Laser Lights Perform?

There’s more to Laser Lights Cosmetic Laser Center than just our laser treatments. We have a variety of spa services to offer patients. Since Laser Lights is co-owned by our laser director Patricia Daniel, R.N. and our medical director David Whiteman, M.D., F.R.C.S.(c), we are able to perform treatments with medical-grade equipment and the highest quality products. Although we offer services like laser hair removal, spider vein reduction, and skin resurfacing treatments, we still provide other non-laser services to boost your morale as well as your complexion.

While some patients visit Laser Lights for medical procedures such as wart or birthmark removal, others come for a relaxing massage or facial. If you aren’t sure what your skin needs, we start with a pre-skin treatment consultation to formulate a care plan just for you. Our younger patients who still suffer acne breakouts may benefit from acne light therapy, a chemical peel, microdermabrasion, or even an acne facial. However, our chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and facials aren’t just for acne sufferers—we offer a variety of types and strengths to benefit patients who are more concerned with signs of aging like sun spots, acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles.

Although many of our services are intended to enhance the face, our menu also includes relaxing body treatments like hand rejuvenation, skin tightening, massage therapy, and paraffin wax for hands and feet. Hands can start to show signs of aging sometimes before the face. But according to an article by the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP), a national membership association for massage/bodywork practitioners and students, massage therapy can a have a plethora of additional benefits for your mind and body.  Here are just a few of our favorites:

Alleviate stress. Medical practitioners for years have said that many diseases are related to stress level. Massage therapy can help to decrease anxiety and relax the mind and body – a great way to manage stress.

Experienced massage therapists will tailor a treatment plan based on your painful problem areas. Laser Lights is proud and excited to introduce Chad Moon, our licensed massage therapist now offering massage services! Massages are the newest addition to Laser Lights list of services, and for a limited time, we are offering hour massages for just $30! The perfect gift for your Valentine!

Below is a personal introduction letter from Chad:

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, mostly between Idaho and Oregon. I went to the Utah College of Massage Therapy in Salt Lake City, UT and began working in Jackson Hole, WY after graduating. Being an avid Skier/Snowboarder and all around fan of the mountains, this was an amazing place to live. I spent a total of 3 1/2 years at The Rusty Parrot Lodge and Spa which was ranked the #1 Resort in the Continental US, by the readers of Travel and Leisure Magazine. I’ve also worked in Squaw Valley, CA near Lake Tahoe, and was then employed by a Chiropractor in Charleston, SC. It was quite a change of pace moving from the West to the South East, and after 2 years in Charleston I needed to get back to an environment near lakes, rivers, and hills.

I have been living in Gainesville, GA since October 2009, and feel like I’ve found a place that I would like to buy some property and become part of the community. I love NE Georgia for the mild climate, friendly people, access to the Blue Ridge Mountains, and proximity to the ocean. I’m looking forward to being the person you come to see when you’re in need of professional bodywork. My specialty is Therapeutic Massage: combining Swedish, Sports, Deep Tissue, and Trigger Point Therapy. I’ve been a Professional Massage Therapist for over 8 years and in 2008 became a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer.
